| Looking for opinions on 00 cbr 929... Hey guys,
I have a couple of questions that I am hoping that you guys can answer.
I am looking at a 2000 CBR 929RR that was a track bike. Currently it does not have any lights on it and it has race plastic only. I am thinking of picking it up and using the race fairings on the street and installing lights and mirrors on it.
Is there any law in Ontario about race fairings on the street?
Do I need signal lights and mirrors in ontario?
Has anyone installed a headlight through race fairings for the street?
Any pictures of custom headlight options??
Any other ideas/opinions would be appreciated!
Thanks |

| Re: Looking for opinions on 00 cbr 929... I put race fairings on an '03 636 and it wasn't bad.. Just tape the oem headlight using blue masking tape (low adhesion), then measure the center of the upper front and stick the tape template on... I used a Dremel with a small cut off wheel for the first pass. Then use the sand paper bit to shape it out. Cut inside the tape about 1/8 inch just to leave space for error.. You can't fix it if you cut too far..LOL 1 to 1.5 hours later you have a good fit....
Good Luck!! |

| Re: Looking for opinions on 00 cbr 929... you can get a full set of plastics for your bike from japan 4, 350.00 they are not the best but all the holes are there and you just put them in place and off you go no cutting. Or you could put the aftermarket small eye lights in the front I have seen a 954 with them one on top and one on bottm looked good.
Good luck. |

Good Luck!! | Thanks for the help. that sounds like a good idea. I dont have a headlight at all right now. I will need to decide which one I like best. I am thinking hayabusa or a gixxer headlight. once i find a nice one I will probably use your idea to install it...
thanks |
