Re: Popo cracking down in the Hill Country

That sucks and I have never been down there but have been wanting to, think I might wait now.

If you ever get over around Talimena scenic drive in southeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas the sheriff there is looking for bikes. I was down there last weekend and had heard stories so was looking for him and not running that much over the posted limit. I did find him, meet him while I was following a fast moving car, 70 in a 55. He turned around and followed me and my friends for about 5 miles. The car turned into a scenic stopping area as soon as the sheriff turned around. The sheriff did not even look at the car and we were following the car, you think if I was in a car I could get away with speeding?

I guess we will all have to be careful on the street since it seems like the law is looking for us fairly hard now.

Doesn't suprise me. They came for bikers in our great twisties N. of Dallas. If you visit the area often, you'll know where to ride the speed limit and where you won't have any problems. This trend is going to continue.
