| Tire ? for you Centex Guys I know this has been a long debated question for everyone on two wheels, but what do you prefer?
I've gone with Dunlop and Bridgestone. Both the 207's and 208's. Now the BT010 and BT020. I need something that has some good longevity and doesn't take long to warm up when I need it to.
I got mostly 6k miles out of my Bridgestones and now the wear mark is starting to show thru. The front tire is screwed because of inproper inflation (my fault). Tread is a lil choppy.
I am thinkin the BT014 now and going back to a 190 in the rear as opposed to the 180. |

| Re: Tire ? for you Centex Guys How much mileage did you get on the 208s? I just got the 208Zr and they seem to be an awesome tire.
Had the Micheling Sports (4k) and the Metzeler Z4 (7k). |

| Re: Tire ? for you Centex Guys Just put on a set of BT-014 a few months ago, nice tires but I'm not sure how long they will last.
I love the Azaro 45/46 and will probably go back to them if these don't last long. The 45/46 last long and stick better than any other tire I've ridden on. Everyone has their favorites, but I've never heard anything bad about the Avon Azaro 45/46 tires. http://www.streetbikereview.com/sbr_...azaro_st.shtml |

| Re: Tire ? for you Centex Guys I did two sets of the 010/020 combo and now have the Avon AV 45/46 and love them. The chip seal roads out in the Hill Country eat tires up pretty quickly. I definately recommend the Avons. |

| Re: Tire ? for you Centex Guys Count me as a fourth on the Avon's. Lasting really well and have scrubbed the rear edge to edge with very minimal slip....damn tar snakes give me a pucker every now and then. |

Takes me forever to heat the BT's up, and once it's gotten to temp, it slips a little too much. I guess you can say a little too much 'pucker' as well.
BTW, where can I pick up "said" Avon tires? Anyone have a hookup. I'll be needing them near the end of the month or the first couple weeks in Aug. That's my guesstimate on when it'll turn from, 'i could use new ones' to 'i need a new pair of tires'.
Edit: I checked with the last place I ordered my BT's from and it lists the 190 at 136.00 and the front 120 at 91.00. Not too shabby. If your hookup can beat that price, i'm sold.

I think Chain mail-ordered his, and he is the quintessential shopper, so maybel he'll chime in. |

| Re: Tire ? for you Centex Guys I got mine from SouthWest Moto Tire. Got them in 2 days since they ship out of Dallas. They have warehouses in many states even though the company is located in New Mexico. |
