Altus Oklahoma?

I might be down in Altus this fall for some additional training and am considering bringing my bike. Any groups out here?

Re: Altus Oklahoma?

If you are coming to Altus, OK I can tell you that there is not much out there. There is one area a friend of mine rode when he was stationed at Ft. Sill. He said they rode up Mt Scott in the Wichita Mts N.W.R. and that was about the only twisty road in the area, it is over by Lawton.

I am part of a sportbike group here in Eastern OK, OSBRO (Oklahoma Sport Bike Riders Organization). Oklahoma has some fun road but the really good stuff in the part of the country is in Arkansas. We usually ride the fun Oklahoma roads on the way to the good roads in Arkansas. We leave Tulsa in the mornings about 7:00AM and ride all day, 400- 500 miles.

If you do bring the bike and want to ride with us just check out the website, OSBRO You can sign up and chat with us on our message board and we can put together something.

Going to Altus, must be USAF?? I was active for 8 years and have worked full time at the Tulsa Air Guard Base for the last 4 1/2 years.

Re: Altus Oklahoma?

Thanks for the info. I've been out there 3 times already and know that every road nearby is flat and straight lol. You should see it from the air! I did drive out to Witchita and look around the park. It's quite a view from the top of the "mountain." If I bring the bike out this fall, I'll look you guys up! I'm in the reserve up in Dover, De (C-5's.)
