| Need help finding a family member's killer ... My brother's sister-in-law and her boyfriend were shot at around 6:30 am July 10th in southwest Houston. HPD had not released the photos sooner in the hopes that they would be able to identify and apprehend the killer. Unfortunately HPD has been unsuccessful so the surveillance footage is being turned over to the local networks for broadcast this evening.
The following is an exerpt from HPD's site with all the relvant details. Please contact HPD immediatly if you know or have seen this individual.
__________________________________________________ __________ Houston police homicide investigators have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of a man found in the 6700 block of the West Sam Houston Parkway South about 6:30 a.m. on July 10. http://www.ci.houston.tx.us/departme...r072204-1a.jpg http://www.ci.houston.tx.us/departme...r072204-1b.jpg Amanda Myrlene Fleetwood, 20, and Jonathan Tromp, 20, each suffered gunshot wounds to the head and were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. Fleetwood died at the hospital and Tromp remains in stable condition.
In the surveillance photos taken at a business at 8261 Richmond, the suspect was seen talking with the victims less than 30 minutes before they were found shot. The suspect is a black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, clean-shaven with a medium build. He was wearing a baseball cap and is believed to be bald.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.R. Swaim and Officer A.D. Brown reported:
The two victims had left their apartment complex at 9001 South Braeswood about 5 a.m. on Saturday (July 10) enroute to a business at Dunvale at Westheimer. About 6:35 a.m., the vehicle the two victims were driving in pulled up near the intersection of Bellaire and the West Sam Houston Parkway South. Off-duty officers working a construction job at the intersection went to the vehicle to investigate and discovered both victims had been shot. The victims’ vehicle was a gray Nissan Sentra. It suffered major damage to its right side. The entire right front quarter panel was missing from the vehicle and three of the four tires were flat.
At this time, it is unknown who shot the victims, why, or where the actual shooting occurred. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

...don't know what else to say. Good luck? Even if caught, convicted, it won't bring them back, although it might keep others alive. |

Extremely sorry to hear this G-Man, this really sucks. I would assume the young lady was your wife's sister. I hope you both get some relief in the form of an imminent arrest and conviction (and subsequent extermination). |

My daugther lives in that part of town. It is a very dangerous section to be in. Her husband walked in on a murder scene there two months ago. |

| No, actually it my wife's brother's fiance's sister.
Thanks for the kind words but I didn't get the opportunity to know her well at all as my wife's brother's wedding is scheduled for the first week of September (I'm an usher and Amanda was a bride's maid) but her family is working to not let it taint Shane and Misty's wedding.
Please keep your eyes open for said dirtbag; nothing would make a nicer wedding gift than to know that Misty's sister's killer was no longer free to harm someone else. |
