| October in Arkansas We're organizing another trip to the Ozarks. These roads and the scenery will be fantastic during this trip. If anyone from the org wants to go, I'll post more details. We are finalizing on one of the last three weekends (15th, 22nd or the 29th). Traveling on Friday and Sunday. The ride usually lasts ALL DAY Saturday with too many more roads left untraveled. This is a HUGE area with excellent roads. The only problems we run into are gas availability. If you get 100+ miles /tank you should be OK. We dont want a huge group but a few more mature riders that ride responsibly are welcome. The drive/ride up is 5 hours from DFW. |

fig, keep me in the loop on this please!?
Doc's predictions are still nebulous, but how about a Z06 chase car?
Yup, I didn't think so either.
I'll take my vitamins and maybe there would be a chance to meet in the Ozarks! |

(my RC cant make 100 miles without a gatorade bottle of gas in the trunk) | What can you get out of a tank on the RC (verses the VFR)? Because these roads are pretty technical, you may get better than average mileage. Depends on your right hand. I have Satos and a DK map. I got 120+ miles on a tank riding conservatively there.
I will be riding the Beemer with my wife, so I will be in the back for sure this time. You'd have fun on either bike though. |

| Re: October in Arkansas well, this vfr gets ~45-50 mpg (250miles on a tank), while my poor RC with satos/pc3r gets about 95 miles on a tank till the reserve light comes on. |

About 130 per tank. When the reserve light comes on I still have 1.5 gallons or so left. The light is scary though, when you're in the boondocks I'd say either bike, but the VFR would make it accross the entire park no problem. We also know where all the gas is (was) the last time we rode. There are a lot of mom and pop stations in operation so it adds to the suspense
My beemer has an 8 gallon tank. |

| Re: October in Arkansas looks like the weather is going to cooperate with our plans. Petit Jean State Park
is one of our possible stops this time. The restaurant is supposed to be excellent.
Will take copious amount of pictures and add some new routes to our repertoire... |

| Re: October in Arkansas So the weekend of 10/16,17 you'll be there? (or the following weekend?).
A small contingent from Iowa, two, will be travelling down to Mountain Home on Thursday(the 21st) and riding 4-500mi days Friday & Saturday....weather permitting.
In the Ozarks you definitely want to fill up often and early as ya' never know when you'll see the next petro station.
Hope the weather holds all through October! |

I have all the petro mapped out. Never more than 60 miles apart on my routes. But that is seasonal too. Have FUN! |
