120 mile ride through Brazos and Grimes county on 9/11/04. The pic of the helmet is even after stopping three times to clean it.

WTF, when will you people learn to not live where it storms, floods, snows, tornados, and bug infestations??? Jesus, I'll take an earthquake every 20 years over that anyday! Does it sound like riding in the rain with all those bugs hitting you?

It's never that bad in South Florida, Central maybe. Usually I just get gnats.

Re: Lovebugs:0 Fireblade:48,357

The lovebugs normally are not this bad. We had a HUGE amount of rainfall this year which has allowed mass numbers of the bugs' eggs to actually develop.

Figment: That is the Rudy's BBQ in College Station. We had a couple riders (green zx12, copper sv650) come up from Houston, the gs500 rider came from Huntsville, and the rest (Bandit6, blue sv, cbr, speedmaster, vfr) are from the B/CS area. I will be planning a ride which will eventually end up at the Blue Bell creamery if you want to ride the roads down here, would love to have you.

Most of the rides are planned and posted on here:

No kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!! couldn't pay me enough to live down there (they tried.. I told them to go take a flying leap). On a similar note.. I love the beauty of Florida and the laid-back Keys but hate everything else about it including the 2 ft. high cockroaches.

Everyone is different.. some must hate it here.. personally I love it. I don't think I could hang with the heat, the humidity and 500,000 splattered bugs on me at the end of every ride.
