| Police Commander and husband do a burn out in local bar and dies from DWI. This is sad in many senses of the word because of the loss of life and the cops that did nothing to stop their co-worker from their fate.
Jist of the articles:
During a police benefit poker run, 1 Police commander and her retired husband pull into a bar, put the front wheel against the wall and did a burn out in front of 100+ spectators including other off duty cops. They were asked to leave by the establishments owner and were both were killed in an accident a little later where their blood level concentrations were .33 and .24. "The outriding importance is we learned a lesson from this that drinking and driving does not go hand and hand and if you are a member of this community and department you see the tragic consequences and we hope to use that to avoid this type of incident again," Knee said.
You think they would have covered that in the Academy, no? I have to say if they weren't Law Enforcement, the article would have read "Drunk Motorcyclists Die after Stunting" or some **** like that. Not the 1,000 word article and "how they lived life to the fullest" bs....
Well, you have a point.
Nobodies perfect, huh? And for two years now, they've been dead. Glad they only took out themselves.
As for 1,000 words, you know, if I do something idiotic which ends my life, I can only hope I'm fondly remembered. |
