| Re: Umm...How are the roads in the Denver area... ? In 1994 my buddy and I did a loop from Denver through Estes Park then back down through Winter Park. Seemed at the time like a nice route. Not all that twisty but scenic.
Of course, this was in August.

| Re: Umm...How are the roads in the Denver area... ? Honest answer? If you're talking recreational roads, there are twisties everywhere. Real mountain passes as well.
If you're talking job offer, stay to the north end of Denver. The freeways there are beyond terrible, but they are in the middle of a widening project. Too many people without much freeway improvement over the years.
They do have a toll loop around the city that has far less traffic, though.
I was just out there a few weeks back and stayed on the south end near the "tech center" region, and traffic is a complete joke.
Kind of a different area, as it butts up against the Rockies to the west, but is flatter than Noodles to the east.
Nice place, there are a few tracks nearby and an active racing organization. |

Of course, this was in August. | That's what I rode a year ago this past September. And that description is pretty spot-on. Scenic, but (mostly) not the same sort of sport ride as is Cherohala or BRP. HWY 72 @ Nederland is a pretty good sportbike road though. http://www.fireblades.org/forums/gen...=Rockies+Chain
Trail Ridge Road is not to be missed, but you're too late to make it across this year, Baketech. Road closes up top due to snow cover. |

Beautiful canyons all the way along highway 14. Hours of twisty fun. Poudre Canyon, Rist Canyon, Through Estes Park and down through Boulder Canyon. |

| Re: Umm...How are the roads in the Denver area... ? I love riding the Rockies! A local club does "ride the devide" where they ride over every pass in colorado or something crazy like that. In Denver, as many otheres have said- motorcycles are usually used for speed bumps or splitting lanes at 90 mph. That said, I have ridden through denver, and its a crap shoot whether or not its going to be straight through or stop and go. Or just stop. Ft. Collins has PLENTY of good roads and is a wonderful town. |
