| Looking for a good shop in the Midwest Does anyone know of a good shop in the Midwest that can repair a 929 tranny. I live in Wichita, Kansas but would be willing to travel Oklahome or Kansas City to get this thing fixed correctly. |

| Re: Looking for a good shop in theMidwest Motorsports on K15. The owner, Bob Troxell, is a good guy. I deal with them on a regular basis. |

| Re: Looking for a good shop in theMidwest You could also send it to Fast By Gast and have it hardened and undercut. I sent mine to them little over a year ago...$250 plus $35 (I think) each gear they have to reqair. Repaired 2 of mine and I was very impressed with their work. Been racing on it since with no slips at all. |

| Re: Looking for a good shop in theMidwest Response from my friend: Quote: Thats a good one because it is slim pickings around here. In the thread, somebody mentioned Motorsports. Bob Troxell(owner) is a decent guy, but the service department is a joke. Mid America Powersports will be high, but they have a tech (Jeremy) that is one of the best around, and they are probably the only safe bet in Wichita. If he is serious about traveling, Kinetic Playground in Tulsa is a great shop. |

The new Mid America store looks nice, but I think their customers will be paying for all that square footage for a long time. |

They were much cheaper than motorsports, gave me more for my trade and took less for the new bike. I was at troxell's a little while back and they had a 06 600rr and a 05 600rr sitting next to each other and they were the same price. Right next to them was a new 04 RC hayden rep for 11,200, plus you need a shoe horn to sit on any bike due to the lack of space. On the other hand i buy all of my parts from motorsports due to the fact the either use none or less of a price matrix on all parts. |
