| Drag strip question Does a typical drag strip offer enough run-out to realize top end on a 954? (Somehow I doubt it). If not, where can I go (legally) to do this? I just want to experience 170+ MPH!
And yes, mods, I posted in this forum so I would get credit for my post. You cruel bastids...
edit: and looking for something other than the track, if something other actually exists.

| Re: Drag strip question You will run out of room on the drag strip unless you keep going into the braking zone, and that could lead to it's own set of problems like how quick will my bike stop |

For that matter, how about Nogales? Not afraid of a little Mexican prison time, are ya? Talk about your drag strips... |

| Re: Drag strip question The drag strip out here wouldn't have enough to see the top end. I can usually see 150 or so indicated if I don't get off the gas right away, but any more than that and you'll be running past the turn around and into the grass.

I found that one about 3 years ago and have been searching for the equivalent locally but without success so far. |

What you need is a spotter and a radio. Have the spotter check your route just before you topper out.... If you don't have a radio just use light signals. Becareful...hope you got a damper and good set suspension. |

Got an Ohlins damper, but have yet to touch my factory suspension settings - didn't even think about that. And since I weigh about 145 lbs. fully suited, I'm just sure that the factory settings are dialed in perfectly for me - not! I can't believe that I still haven't messed with suspension. Maybe I'll just wait awhile before pursuing this inane experiment. |
