| Re: new 1/4 mile time Thats weird. I ran a 9.56, 9.59, 9.61 @ 139 with a 6.14-6.17 1/8th on motor. I'll be going to the local 1/4 track thursday night, so I'll post my times friday for ya.
Hopefully I can run those 50's on motor and get some 20's on spray if not better.
Thanks for posting some motor only times, gives me a better idea of what I should be running on spray.

Thanks for posting some motor only times, gives me a better idea of what I should be running on spray. | I was geared just a little too much, bike was just shifting into 6th gear when I was almost crossing the finish line, my guess was wasting a tenth on that shift. 1 down up front and two up in the rear, may change my rear down one tooth.
I was getting consistant 1.54 60' times |

| Re: new 1/4 mile time I was thinking altitude also. Thats what I have +1f, -1rear. You're still using the #36 nozzle right? And also using the nitro controller?? Thats what my 60' times were when I ran those numbers. Haven't been running that low this year, ranging from 1.57-1.61. I need to put a fresh tire on probably, but I think I will wait till Friday or next week. I have 6 left in the garage, so that will take me down to 5, but I need one on the Busa also.
Also, the bike wouldn't shift at all my last run, and when I pulled over on the return lane, the bike would shut off when I tried to button shift it, since I run the auto now. Hopefully its just a small hole in the line before the gauge or something, because the gauge was showing 140 psi still. I'll find out today or tomorrow hopefully.

I believe it will do 9.5`s maybe 9.4`s on motor for sure. I think when I spray it will be like 8.90`s
and gearing I`ll try now will be -1 up front and +1 in the rear, that way I stay in 5th on motor. |

| Re: new 1/4 mile time Hey, how about that pic of your mounting point of the airshifter. I'm on my second hole now and I really don't want to make a 3rd hole in the frame. Looks like the bolt is moving some now when I hit the button. I checked the nut against the frame and thats still tight from the lock tight I used. I saw another 54 in the shop that had a fabricated piece of steel or iron, and it used two screws or bolts underneath the frame with the bolt in the frame ofcourse. The bracket just held the bolt in place so it wouldn't move any.

| Re: new 1/4 mile time Did you guys read the new CYCLE WORLD mag.? They tested new 600's and some drag racer did 9.93s/135.05mph with stock r6, only modifications where lowering links, tie downs and -1 front sprocket.

I launch at 8k but the bike is like 9 inches longer than stock. Bone stock bike all I could get out of it was a 10.13 @ 133 mph |

| Re: new 1/4 mile time Yep, bye bye Kawi, or can you say, bye bye Ricky. He went down the other weekend also, bike threw his ass off coming down from a wheelie mid track with the front tire cocked a little. lmao
-1F, +1R, strapped, 8-1/2 inches extended, lowered, shaved, port/polished, auto shift, launch at 4,300 roughly, ride the clutch a little and then WOT to the finish.
I found my 9.61 pass ticket yesterday....1.57 60', 6.20 @ 116 1/8th, 9.61 @ 141 for that pass. That was in Rockingham last year, my 3rd and slowest motor only run of the day. Best was a 9.56 motor only. The 4th run I spun leaving the line, sprayed as soon as it grabbed, ran a 9.53 and spit a shim. Then I rode the Busa the rest of the weekend. Motor only ran a 5.99 1/8th and 9.31 1/4. |

| Re: new 1/4 mile time From reading the posts is there some animosity against Rikki or it just me being crazy? I think he is an accomplished drag racer and have heard great things about him. Is this only a part of the story? I don't know the guy but seems to be cool?

| Re: new 1/4 mile time Yeah, he is an accomplished rider, but hasn't done much over the last year though. I've never seen him place in any of the events I was at last year. I beat his nephew last year, he was riding the ZX-9.
So no; no animosity, just think he needs to get in touch with whatever he will be riding this year and continue with what he has accomplished already. I would love to race against him, in a bracket format, since that is what true racing is all about. I wouldn't turn down some heads up runs either! Would probably have to be the Busa though...I think he's running the big bikes this year though, so that wouldn't be much of a race either.
