  | Got the 1000rr to the dragway yesterday. Ended up with a best of 10.56 @ 138mph. Bike could have gone faster but from noon on I was fighting for traction. Rear end kept breaking free off the line, and a few times it broke free at the top of 2nd gear....causing an underware malfunction when the rear stepped out. After the worst 100mph rolling burnout, I packed it up for the day. They had just repaved the track a week ago and it was getting very greasy once the sun hit it. Hopefully go back next year once I learn the bike alittle better and some super chevy event has broken the strip in.

| Re: Got the 1000rr to the dragway yesterday. Yep, they just repaved it. Even the Awd subarus had trouble getting grip after 1pm or so.

| Re: Got the 1000rr to the dragway yesterday. It's about time they repaved that place. My best time was on my 99 F4, pulled an 11.52 @ 124. I had friends with extened and lowered 900RR's running high 9's all day. I miss the drags on Firday nights. That was so much fun. I'd like to take my 954 here and see what it can pull. |

| Re: Got the 1000rr to the dragway yesterday. Ed, you should consider coming out to Lebanon Valley in NY sometime. The track is in good shape, and you'll probably get better traction. |

| Re: Got the 1000rr to the dragway yesterday. I kinda wanna go up and run my bike just to see what I can get. I have a few friends that run their mustangs so maybe one day this summer I'll run my bike when they go up.
