| Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times??? I was going to my first drag at Cordova, but went in to the shop to get a new tire and WOAH!! 4 teeth on the sprocket. Damned those addictive wheelies!!
I now check my sprocket more often!! (flame on. i deserve it.)
But yeah. You can touch 9's on an all motor bike? that's really impressive. Any suggestions to get more out of the bike, IE, is a big bore kit worth while? what about just new cams? any help would be appreciated. |

Can't remember what my 929 was, but my 954 is 153.3 rwhp after the work was done and put out a beautifully smooth map.

You really want to lower the rear of the bike too but that is more involved.
Even with a strap, the bike will wheelie very easily in 1st gear. I just launch by feel mostly and use the clutch to keep the front down. That is probably why you see the rpms vary.
If you get serious about racing, get the strap and a lowering link for the rear. That should really make a big difference. A strap alone doesn't do much, in my opinion. |

yeah, i made a set of links for my bike and lowered the front, probably 5-6 inches in the rear and 1.5-2" in the front. 1/8 mile time went from 6.80 to 6.60, mile an hour was about the same. never got to run it through the quarter lowered, but i feel like it would go 9.90's, i had to raise it back up though i dont like driving it around lowered, had to ride too gently. |

you think so ?i would definitly like to see or hear about someone doing it .do you think the lowering links that you can buy over the counter would work .not sure how much they actually lower the bike . |

| Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times??? Lowering the bike helps, the strap on the front helps more than the rear. If you really want to go fast you have to extend the swingarm and learn to launch it harder. 9.60 was the best i got out of my 954 on motor only |

So we are the same times on motor, just need to get my kill box right and run some new air lines to get some of your spray run times. Might do a little "upgrade" for next season, I'll give ya a call later tonight, just got back in town and read your message. |
