2nd: reaction .381

ET 10.229
MPH 147
6th: reaction .256

I was well on my way to bringing that to a 9 something when during my last run my airshifter ran out of CO2... I know it's possible because I was able to get 1.7's for a 60 foot time with my 929 easy... BUT that's ok.. I accomplished more today than i thought I would - and I had a blast!
E.
btw my best time on the 929 was a 10.2 at I think 132 mph... stock setup .... | Nice trap speed!! With that Trap speed you should be running 9's in no time. What did you do to the bike to get the high mph? Nitrous? |

Honestly I have no clue what all Lonnie (sonicsbomb) and his brother did to the bike as far as motor and gearing LOL.. There is NOS on the bike but I WON'T be even touching that till I master it on motor alone...
E.
BTW I noticed I had a typo on my best 929 time.. that should have been 10.3 .... |

E. | You don't know what they did to your motor? I raced a Busa from a roll last night and started pulling it at 165 mph on my 1000RR. |

| Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times??? Ok... update on my getting familiar with the busa at UblyDragway Yesterday...
Lot's of 10.0's and 10.1's but my best was a 9.914 @ 146 mph
Out of 12 runs I had 3 in the 9.9's (those were the last few runs for the day)
Top 3 runs:
Reaction: .293
60 footer: 1.657
ET: 9.969
MPH: 144.504
Reaction: .318
60 footer: 1.693
ET: 9.926
MPH: 145.699
Reaction: .290
60 footer: 1.688
ET: 9.914
MPH: 146.297
Best Reaction Time was .040 and .097 but averaged .2's and .3's
Best 60 footer was 1.645 but I was sliding and had a misshift and let off and just cruised it to the exit
and I could only imagin I would have hit a 9.8 something compared to my others above...

| Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times??? First time post. I have run 11.00 many times on a bone stock 2002 954. I did lower the front end, by dropping the forks about two inchies. It does take away from street handling. I have not hit 140 on the track, but the bike does every bit of 140 mph. I think it could do high 9's if it were stretched. |

Well here's the update on my latest times LOL
I was shooting for that 9.8 .... well guess it wasn't meant to be cuz on my 3rd run I got a 9.70 but wait that aint' the best part... a short while later.. I got me a 9.50 the day was full of 9.6's and 9.5's
this was on Sat... so ofcourse lookin at my times and comparing them I could see a 9.4 in my future for Sunday
and low and behold.. my 3rd run for the day was a 9.43 but wait.. again that's not the best part... after many 9.4's and 9.5's I pulled out a 9.28
ALL on Motor Only .... I'll be ready for the Nitrous come spring

Here's a larger version of the same video... for those who have a hard time seeing the lil screen
I'm going back this Sat.. last for this year for me... not counting on much improvement since it's getting colder and with less cars showing up won't be much heat in the track for a good hook up.. but I'm hopin I'll still be able to practice my 60 footers and get them lower than that 1.54

| Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times??? Last week I ran a 10.04 at 136.3 with a 1.715 60' before my head gasket started leaking!
9s are so close!
Hopefully, I'll be able to change the head gasket and get back out there. We'll see. Leftover '06 CBR1000s are starting to look pretty good right now.
Take care,

| Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times??? I ran 10.5 @131 on my 929 with a stock motor and slip on. Not lowered or stretched. I was pretty proud of myself being it was my first time drag racing. I'm gonna try strapping it and getting a lowering link and some swing arm extensions. See if I can get any lower times this summer.. |
