Going Turbo for 2008 thanks to the sponsorship by RCC TURBO - hope to see 8.0 - 7.8's

Wow it's been awhile since I posted times here...

well my first time out on the new Turbo build got me an 8.03 at US131. Couple track days after that however I was dealing with some nasty wheelie situations and one got away from me. I have been out of racing for 2 mths now waiting for my broken finger to heal from surgery and pins.

I finally got back out on the track a week ago (finger still not completely functional yet) but managed to get her to an 8.14 this week with poor track conditions and very low boost settings. I'm working hard to get back in the game and with 1.37 sixty times I'm well on my way ..

Looking to see that 8.0 again and maybe a 7 if the track can hold some HP.

I have videos of several runs on my website to include the wipeout if you wanna check it out.

thanks darlin... I'm not doing bad... in fact I forgot to come back and update the latest...

I'm the ONLY FEMALE WORLD WIDE to be runnin in the 7's with a prostreet bike (no bar, slider, 2step, or slick)

Gotta update my website but the videos are on there for the last two runs.. before that I didn't have anyone pitting with me to video..

I'm pretty stoked... heading to Canada this weekend to be the First Female to run in the 7's on Canada soil

knock on wood... we think we have the wheelie gremlin at bay with some major shock adjustments and checkin my clutch stack height every other pass for some reason this new clutch isn't doin for me as it is with others ...

7.83 run - short shifted to second around 10K - was trying to get back in the groove to the right and accidentally hit the button (my left hand was getting tired and I think this played a big part cuz my runs prior were straight on)

Click for video

7.80 run - short shifted to second around 9k affecting my 60 ft time horribly.. if it had not been for that I'd have .2 off my final ET. THe bike was launchin hard to the left and I was leanign trying to counter steer to the right and accidentally hit shifter button.

Awesome! Keep it up! I think I'm done after this year with racing. I did the points and won the championship, and it's just few and far between now when I go. I've lost most of my drive for it, but I would still throw it down if someone needed a rider, lol.

I haven't completely lost it, but it is fading unfortunately. If I had an RCC turbo bike though; I'd be running MIROCK PSB or Prostreet for sure!!! That rush would bring all the passion back!!!

Re: Can everyone post some 1/4 times???

I just got done with my 3rd night of drag racing, making nearly 20 passes at the local racetrack. They finally booted us off at 11:30pm to prep for the next day's race. For the first half of the night I was running in the low 11's, which wasn't anywhere near my previous fastest time (10.798@133).

Then I found my mojo.

Here's my best run of the night, on my stock (gearing and otherwise) Fireblade:

RT: .154
60' 1.863
1/8: 6.920 @ 112.72 mph
1/4: 10.414 @ 139.34 mph

I'm damn proud of myself for that one. I found that clutchless shifting and a better throttle position combined makes for a whole mess of speed. I also found wide-open throttle in 3rd and 4th gears. There's still plenty to work on. I was alternately closing the throttle too much and then not enough for shifting. My launches need a lot of work. My best reactions are in the sub 0.05 range, but it varies quite a bit.

Finally, as of tonight, I finally understand the difference between street fast and track fast. Good gravy, that was a lot of fun.
