I went to Santa Pod last year for the "run what you brung" day, awesome, majorly hooked now and will be back in a couple of weeks.

I have a totally standard 2001 929 RR-Y, 1st day I managed a 130.3mph and 10.9 1/4 (well pleased) - very nervous on the line but can't get enough, best reaction time was about 0.4, my mate always at about 0.25.

Day 2 even better, best time 10.68 with 133mph, only problem is keeping front wheel down in 1st, I only weigh 12st 2lb and lean over but still comes up too much. When lights at yellow I am revving to about 8000 rpm and then slipping clutch to fully engaged, this year I am aiming for late 9's, I will fit race can, either Micron or Akrapovic and power commander, K&N air filter.
Any suggestions on getting away from the line??

Do a search for drag racing and you'll find a bunch of threads on the subject. Also, look up SilverBullet, he does quite a bit of 1/4 stuff on his 954.
