st0ck 06 1000 rr times!

a friend just bought an 06 blue/yellow 1000 and showed up at the track a couple weeks ago. that thing wheelied like nothing i've rode before. it was my first time ever on a 1000 and first time i had run a bike that was'nt lowered in a couple of years, but still managed a 7.07@110. this was with a 1.94 60'. damn those things would be wicked lowered and stretched!

Re: st0ck 06 1000 rr times!

Yep, it's a very quick bike with a wheelie potential because of a short wheel base.
That's not a bad 1\8 mile time for a bike's first time out. I truly believe that bike can and will reach a very low 10 sec quarter and it's possible to see a 9.9 - 9.8, if you can keep the front wheel on the ground.

a 7 sec 1\8 is about an 11 sec quarter mile unless it picks up some serious speed on the other end. Most of that is likely due to a tricky launch caused by a very short wheel base.

Re: st0ck 06 1000 rr times!

i have only been out 4 times on mine, and it ran a best fo 10.30 at 141mph. I have to learn to keep the front down better, strap didnt help, so im lowering it a bit for the last race of the year

I've seen stock 06/071KRR run 9.8-9.9's in 1/4mile.. It sure is hard to keep front end down though... They might of had a slip-on and pc3..
