New best time, but speed seems off...

Hi,

I ran my 954 at Englishtown on Friday night, and my best was...

R/T .361
60' 1.854
330 4.79
1/8 7.139
MPH 104.62
1000 9.161
1/4 10.899
MPH 129.16

I have a PC3 w/ Erion slip-on map, Erion slip-on, -1 front, front strap, Hass HTEV eliminator. I haven't been able to get the Hass map into the PC3 because I'm still having trouble with my laptop recognizing the PC3. I probably weigh about 215 with leathers. The problem is that I think the MPH seems low. I'm sure I need more seat time, but I'd think that even if I screwed up the launch, I should still see over 130 by the end of the 1/4. I am probably going to get an adjustable link for the rear next so that I can lower it at the track. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a high 1.7 60' with the link. I'm also thinking of going with 15/45 gearing, but I want to wait until after I get the Hass map loaded and see what happens.

Drag racing: fun and frustration at the same time!

Take care,
Franc

I'm running -1 front +1 rear, 15/44. If you aren't extended I think you will have a hard time keeping the front down and getting your 60 foot to come down, which is something you need...a low 60 foot time. I don't think your mph is WAY off, especially with your time. I think I was running 136 mph last year, but I was also extened 5" then and had 1.56-160, 60 foot times, pretty much the same now being 9-1/2" back, but my mph and ET are better.

Keep trying though. Good job.

Last year with the 954 on -1 front and stock wheelbase, my best time was 10.4 in the 1/4 and trap speed of 137 or so. The front is very hard to keep down with the stock W/B but it can be improved over time.
