BladeRash: Yes, 1/4 mile. 9.56-9.67 on motor. Do an advanced search for posts or threads by me, you'll find out everything done to the bike. |

| Re: More Blade Pics (LOL, same as last pics) Hey Silver are the rear of your lowers actually touching down on the launch, or are they just that close? What were your 60' times and trap speeds for those 1/4 mile runs? |

Back to 1/4 mile track at Rockingham. Saturdays 3 passes were very disappointing....best was a 6.34@112 1/8; 9.81@136 1/4.
Sundays bracket racing the bike finally loosened up from Saturdays passes I guess.
Only have 3 tickets of the 5 with me, but the other 2 are between these numbers.
1st) 6.215@116.86 1/8; 9.633@140.52 1/4
2nd) 6.200@115.80 1/8; 9.632@140.71 1/4
slowest pass OFF the throttle 6.227@116.52 1/8; 9.669@133.09 1/4
Hopefully it will loosen up a little more and get me into the low 9.50's on motor. I didn't spray since the motor is still fresh, but I will the next time I go to the 1/8th and 1/4!
60' times are 1.56-1.61. My lowers do scrape the ground. I cut the middle section out because they scrape so bad and I wouldn't keep push pins or zip ties in it because they kept grinding off. Now the two sides come to a point at the lower back. |

Can you actually let the clutch out at full throtle? or do you slip the clutch
Launching is my main hassel. I seem to lose too much time either wheel spinning or trying to keep the thing from bucking. |

| Re: More Blade Pics (LOL, same as last pics) Those numbers look pretty damn good for the 1st and 2nd pass from your Sunday schedule. Ever take the bike into New Jersey? Atco or Englishtown? A few guys from my area seem to like the Maple Grove track here in PA. I'm not a Motorcycle drag- racer, but can still appreciate the amount of rider control and input it takes to go that fast....... even if it is only in a straight line. |

Launching is my main hassel. I seem to lose too much time either wheel spinning or trying to keep the thing from bucking. | I don't have nearly as much experience as SB, but I have been starting to go WOT in first after the clutch is fully out. I would not attempt this without a front strap! With the strap and launching at 4-5k, I've been slipping the clutch out quick and going WOT, then shortshifting into second when the wheel starts to come up at 8K. This has been good for a 1.87 60' time. I am sure I can launch at an even higher RPM to try and just float the tire, I'll try that next time. I'm also going to try and ride it out through first at WOT if the front doesn't keep coming up past about 6" or so.
I haven't had a problem with wheelspin, the strip at Englishtown feels pretty sticky to me.
Take care,
Franc |

| Re: More Blade Pics (LOL, same as last pics) I leave the line between 6K-6700 rpms. I almost dump the clutch and I am WOT before 5 feet maybe. Look at the videos I have posted on one of my threads I started. I'm also straped in the front, lowered enough to scrap leaving the line and extended 9-1/2" though. I use a Shinko 190 rear....just started using the ultra soft this year and haven't spun one time I dont think with 22-24psi. With the regular Shinko 003, I was running between 16-19psi. |
