| 4 in a row..w/ a broke bike! What LUCK! Well, after replacing every valve shim, (smaller), thinking that a valve was tapping, the noise was still there. Since then I have concluded it must be the cam chain tensioner. Now I get to go back in this week and spend my nights in the shop getting it torn apart and back together by thursday to head to maryland on friday to race.
Anywho....Took 1st for the 4th straight race and only made 1 full pass down the track in eliminations. lol I made my first pass hopeing the motor or something else wouldn't go. (it was a points race and it does mean that much to me!) My last weekend racing was 6.20-6.23 all day. Saturdays test pass....6.62!!!! Didn't take my 2nd test pass just in case it went. Rutt Row! Dialed a 6.60 and thank goodness the guy redlighted....my 60' went to a 2.06! Bike had no power, felt like I was leaving in 2nd. 2nd pass, dialed a 6.90, ran a 6.92 thank goodness on the brake easily from the 330' mark. Next guy red lighted on me, another 40mph pass down the track for me trying to save it. Ran a 7.02 on a 6.80 dial in next run and won. Had the bye next round and raced my partner in the finals, which he redlighted on purpose to give me a 40 point lead in points!
Just ordered the tensioner lifter and having it over nighted...I SURE hope thats what it is. If not, I am totally lost! Will have to look elsewhere.

| Re: 4 in a row..w/ a broke bike! It would be fun to spray the NOS down the straights to pass the people that passed me in the corners. |

| Re: 4 in a row..w/ a broke bike! With the loss of power you have described it makes me wonder if the timing is off. I can't imagine the cam chain slipping a tooth, but I guess it's possible. |
