'06 cbr 1000 swingarm extensions

hey guys new to the forum...anyways just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the bolt-on swingarm extensions?how safe are they?im expecting trap speeds near 144+ this season with the gear swap, new tune, etc

so any thoughts?good idea or bad?only looking for a 4-6 inch stretch to keep the front of the bike down and more manageable

Re: '06 cbr 1000 swingarm extensions

I know lots of people that have run then with no problems, but the idea of them freaks me out (and I don't like how they look). I had Spencercycle stretch my stock arm. Depending on the extras you get it costs between 450 and 700 roughly. Most good extensions cost upwards of 250~300 so to me it was worth the peace of mind I got from spending the extra money.

PM Silverbullet - he's a site sponsor and could get you the best extensions or direct you where to get your stocker stretched.

Re: '06 cbr 1000 swingarm extensions

How many links did you need for the 1000RR with the extensions? I'm trying to figure out how long the chain would have to be on a 2006 CBR1000 with 6" extensions and 15/43 gearing.

Thanks,
Franc
