lowering 1kRR

how far can you safely raise the forks through the triple?

also, how low has anyone gone without hitting the fender, etc??

Re: lowering 1kRR

Try to strap the bike first , Is the bike extended or lowered.
its going to take a lot for the front wheel to hit the front fender.

Re: lowering 1kRR

it will be strapped at the track. will be using a schnitz link, unless there is a better one. not going to stretch, so lowering and a strap my only means of fighting wheelies. lowered my 929 about 20mm back in the day, but I wondered if i could lower the 1k, say around 1.5in's?? and lower the rear ~4in. all the gixxers 1k's I ride with are not stretched, but they are SLAMMED, and I get killed off the line.

Re: lowering 1kRR

Why dont you want to extend it , what are your 60 ft times, do you have an air shifter. all depends what you are going to do with the bike.
drag it or street ride it or both . also what tire are you using in the back, are you getting traction. if you want to talk to me let me know and i will pm you.
