If i took the muffler off and just ran straight pipe an no exhaust valve.would it help me out with horse power on drag racing. or will i actually lose power?

There is a huge misconception about this. To run at it's optimal ability, the air/fuel ratio of your engine HAS to be dead on (usually around 14:1). Running your bike without the can is going to lean it up. If you are at 14:1, it will hurt the performance. If you are rich (fat), it will help. If you are unsure, take it off if it's easy to remove. Run it down the track, your MPH will tell you if you have helped or hurt performance. When I'm tuning my bike, I ignore the E.T. and only record mph.

thanks i have a powercommader pc111r also on it and have tried to manually put a map into for my full m4 exhaust but cant seem to tell weather im right or not with it. any sugestions on how i should program this stuff other then the computer.

I'm old skool here, can't help with FI models. Doesn't dynojet have proper instructions on their website for installing a map? I have buddies that do it all the time but I never paid close attention to it.
