Re: 98 900 motor

i would say it depends on what sort of controller you use, there are ones about that let you programme when and how much gas you use, ie you can add a small percentage after launch then have it ramp up to 100% further into the run, this would be kinder on the motor.

Re: 98 900 motor

also depends on what kind of system your running. direct port? wet or a dry system? how much are you planning on spending?

if you are planning on running n2o and racing a stock engine on the regular you will have to rebuild at some point.

i dont know much about running nitro thru a bike but your average car at 1.8 to 2.5 liter stock 4cyl engine is usually running a 50 shot pretty safely. if it was me and i had to have n2o id start with a 25 shot and a good tuner. you can always turn it up once you figure out your limitations or can afford a proper nitrous build

actually if i was a hardcore type id probably leave my stock engine alone and buy another and rebuild for maximum results.

Re: 98 900 motor

I've run a 40 shot on stock 1000F many times with no problems. The thing that will get you first is #3 rod bearing.
