| Drag race I was wondering if anybody runs they`re 954 and what kind of times r they getting.
Last year mine was stock with an Erion bolt on, and lowered. My best run was a 10.06 at 139mph. This year I extended it put on an airshifter, gears, shift light, and full hindle exhaust. |

A few members have run the 1/4, but I think numbers vary from low to high 10's |

| Re: Drag race I ran mine all last year. Just had straps put on the front. Still had a hard time keeping the front end down in first and second. I just ordered bolt on swingarm extensions so hopefully that will help. As well as full hindle and PC3. My best time was almost a second slower than your. 11.02, but I was very frustrated not keeping the clutch in longer so the front end wasn't in the sky. My 1/8 mile times went down my last two track days, so hopefully with the new goodies I'll be down in the low 10's. Well, see. |

| Re: Drag race I too ran a strap last year. This year I hope to be around 9.70 141mph or so.Most of the guys around my house run 954`s in the mid to high 10`s, but so do the guys with the Busa`s and the Gixxer 1000`s. I usually get them by about 4 to 6 thengths. I also make custom billet lowering links ( Dog bones) stock and about 4 inches lower I wil measure tonight to find out exactly. If any body is interested let me know and I`ll see about posting a pic. |

| Re: Drag race hey Man..i ran my 954(stock) a few weeks ago and the best i could do was 10.9 seconds...i was slow in 1st coz i am not long off a cbr250 so im not happy with the wheel off the ground and from 2nd gear its all bike. a guy the same night ran a 10.09 on an R1. ive had about 20 runs now on the 1/4mile strip....i know my bike is faster but after only 8 weeks of having it im happy with any 10sec even if its a high 10 the 10.06sec you did its bloody fast..faster than anyone in any mag ive read even by 2 tenths...what did you do or was it a freezing day and at sea level |

Horsepower will still pick it up sometimes around the 300 foot mark. This year I should be in the 9`s I`m lowered strapped, extended, shift light , airshifter, full hindle high mount, pc 3, and geared |

| Re: Drag race Wow, that is fast. My 954 tends to bog really bad off the line, and then it screems. I guess I need a much higher rpm to start with and slip the piss out of the clutch. Anyhow, I don't do many fast launchs, but would like to know how to keep the bog manageable if I ever do. |
