Rode a Duc.....

When I was having my custom map put in, I test drove a new 999 for about 20 minutes. Turn in was very smooth along with a very very smooth gear box. No clunk at all! Torque and power was very noticably lower than the 54!! I would never trade the 54 for it though. But it was nice to drive a $15,000 or so bike for a bit.

I'd love to have the opportunity to ride one - that bike is high on my wish list (the "S" version particularly). Torque and cornering are supposed to be the areas where they really shine, along with styling (admittedly not for everyone).

I believe the "S" version is just a little difference in suspension setup, but I could be wrong. But anyway, if the engines are identical, then you will be dissapointed with the torque of it. My 54 has more torque at 3000rpm's than the Duc had at 7000rpm's!!
