Hoping I haven't been beaten to this. Saw these pics and wondered if anyone has any other info as to weather this thing will be a production model or if it's just a concept..

Nice , Ducati.com says it's a concept bike

<Cheap plug>

Wouldn't it be nice to have a motard section to avoid mishaps like this

Re: New Ducati Motard?

It would look much better with a standard sportbike front fender.

I'd still take the Aprilia SXV over that thing in a heartbeat - if they'd ever make it.

....
Ya the big dirtbike fender looks dorky... same with the one on the KTM 990 tard and the Honda 650.

Monkey: in spite of looks, I think I read somewhere that the DB5 weighs 340some pounds, so this DB6 should weigh even a little less. I've got a huge boner for it.

Re: New Ducati Motard?

It looks more like a monster replacement than a motard to me...motard usually implies some type of offroad capability, which is tough at 340lbs...

as a sportbike, it's still beautiful...

Yeah, they felt the heat from Aprilia's Ubersexy SXV/RXV series. They saw how pretty much every unit was sold before it even left the factory. Kind of hard to ignore numbers.
