Sport Classics? Experience/opinions?

I'd like to know what are the experiences of owners of the Sport Classic line of Ducs? I've read they're very hard on the wrists, and are "buzzy." I'm considering a Sport Classic 1000S. As a kid, I drooled over the Darmah, and am drawn to the Classics.
Intended use: mountain twisties- "cafe" style, and that occasional short commute.
Background: I have a VStrom, and a Honda 1K RR I use for racing.

Re: Sport Classics? Experience/opinions?

I have an '06 Sport 1000. The riding position is very aggressive, more aggressive than any bike I've owned. That, combined with no windscreen, means it's not comfortable for anything over an hour. At least not for me. However, the bar risers Ducati makes for it for around a hundred bucks are supposed to alleviate the harsh ergos. I love the motor! And the looks of the bike! Just don't plan on it being a bike for long distance rides! It should be great for your intended use. Mine's for sale, too bad you don't live closer!

HondaGalToo- so, why you sellin' the Classic? How long have you had it? Is there a lot of vibration? Sounds like you didn't get the risers.

Re: Sport Classics? Experience/opinions?

It was kinda an impulse buy, as I absolutely love the looks. However, I have 2 other street bikes and I'd really rather have a track-only bike instead of the Sport. I think the risers would make it more comfy, however.
