New Streetfighter

Just past the magazine rack at my local supermarket and every sportbike magazine had the new Ducati Streetfighter on it in one form or another. Read the article on the bike, and damn, this is one serious bike! 1098 motor on a naked bike? prety much a big step for the industry, and giving the all new liter bikes a run for their money! Ducs seem to keep gettin more affordable every day. definitly makin me think if i really want the new 1000RR over this bad boy. thougths on this?

Re: New Streetfighter

two totally diffferent bikes, much like comparing a rc51 to cbr1000, its all on your style of riding. Personally i have never had a problem with my honda, but my friend has had countless issues with his duc including a full rebuild on his mill edition.Either way, as long as your riding.

Re: New Streetfighter

I think the new Streetfighter looks great. It was definitely needed as the top Monster was looking dated. Big motor makes the package.

Ducatis aren't as bad as many seem to think, at least in my experience. I've been riding with a buddy who has had Monsters all along and other than a few quirks here and there, the things have been solid. The clutches and clutch baskets wear out almost like tires but otherwise things have been sorted out over the years. He is overdue for a valve adjustment and that's about $500 I think.
