N.Central Florida weekend rides?

I'm a newbie from Gainesville and don't really know anyone to ride with. I see a lot of local riders but I'm not sure if I want to take pointers from people in flip-flops w/o helmets. Just wondering if there's anyone who rides around who wouldn't mind a youngin' tagging along and maybe asking a few stupid questions.

Here's your first tip. NO, you don't want to take any pointers from folks like that.

I used to live down there(born in Daytona, grew up in Mount Dora), but I sure as hell don't miss all that traffic.

You'll probably have to blaze your own trail on this one. However, you are an hour or less from Jennings and there are some great guys there that will take you under their wing,,,,and turn you into a track addicted speed junky....

Hey man,

Come on down to Ocala on Thursday night to the Steak and Shake on SR40 in front of Walmart just west of Silver Springs attraction. We meet there every thursday from 7:00 till..... Great place to meet the local riders and hook up on rides.
