| Arethusa Falls revisited Firefly and I went hiking up to Arethusa Falls yesterday. Thought I'd share a couple of pics.

| Re: Arethus Falls revisited You can use the last photo as a reference as to how big the fall is.
Arethusa is the tallest in NH. |

So I need to know....What's wrong with my waterfall? There is a cliff and it has the obligatory water falling over it...
I don't see any of your waterfalls here for comparison... |

If you go up Rt302 North into the notch the trail head is the first left immediately after the "Welcome to Crawford Notch" sign. It's only 1.5 miles in but is mostly uphill on the hike in. Definately worth the hike in as it is a cool area to spend the day at if you pack in some food and drinks. |

| Re: Arethusa Falls revisited Nice pics
When I was in Niagra about a month back, I was amazed at the fact the the American falls were frozen solid, the Canadian falls were about half way there. Shame I was there at night, because there would have been some great photos...

| Re: Arethusa Falls revisited You got that right!!! Phuck anything below 40 deg F.!!! Or even 50 deg F. We do get several freezes here during a normal winter, and it sucks! Of course we pay for it during the summer, sweating our nads off... |

I almost moved out to AZ a few years ago for work. I don't think I'd have been happy without the changing seasons. |

| Re: Arethusa Falls revisited Well, here are some pic's of "my" waterfall. Ok, so it's not here at home but it'll still be a comprimise for both you and Bacchus. Not only is it BIG but it's the perfect temperature too! Picture this, you'll notice in the pics below that the waterfall is three tiers. The second two pics show only ONE tier so you get the idea of how tall it is. Secondly, the temperature is ALWAYS between 28c and 32c (77 & 90F)...
Here they are... |
