| Re: Hurricane Charley Just talked to the folks and only minor damage to their place. Flooding is bad in Bonita Springs and Naples but it sounds like people did amazingly well considering the inensity. Hope everyone else in FL faired as well or even better. |

| Re: Hurricane Charley I live in Orlando, the eye past right over me about 2 hours ago. I lost my entire wood fence and about half the shinglse off my roof. I never had to deal with insurnce companis before but looks like I will be calling them in the morning. My entire neighborhood is pretty much the same way. The shingles were put on cheaply with staples instead of nails. Contractors are always trying to save a buck and then the home owner ends up paying for it later. |

To the south, in Lee County, the sheriff's office reported one hurricane-related death in North Fort Myers when a man in his early 20s stepped outside during the full force of the hurricane to smoke a cigarette. |

| Re: Hurricane Charley Dayum! Just caught an update on the tube regarding Hurricane Charley. I hope none of our .org brothers/sisters live in the Punta Gorda area - it was fairly wiped out! And they showed some small island (missed the name) that became 2 islands when the storm split it in half. The storm apparently went from category 2 to category 4 in a very short timeframe - caught all the weather-guessers off guard. Nasty stuff! |

| Re: Hurricane Charley Well, I made it out alive. My trailer has approx $4700 in damages, but the truck and bike are OK I'm still without power, water, and sewer. Stayed in a hotel last night. Boy is AC a cool (pun intended) invention.
Good luck to everyone, and I hope everyone on da org is OK. |

Originally Posted by ConqSoft Yeah, I mean anything new since then? Have you been able to get your rv repaired? | No, it will be a while before any repairs can be made. Everyone is really backed up. I taped it up with duct tape and it's working ok. I have a leak but it is pretty minor. I'm gonna retape every few days to a week until it is fixed. It's just nice to be able to have AC and take a shower at home. And also have internet access again. Thanks for asking Conq |
