Fort Lauderdale area Role Call

Hey all,

Just trying to get an idea how many people here are from the Fort Lauderdale area.

Second, would like to put together a ride next spring to Deals Gap. The more people we get, the better deal on transportation/rooms. Anybody down here interested (I know it's a long ways off, just trying to get a feel for this forum).

You can find plenty to do/see between West Palm Beach and Miami (or Key West if you're up for a long, watery ride). If you're looking for good riding places (twisties and what not) you're looking in the wrong state... good riding weather most of the year here, but no good riding spots

planing on doing the key west and miami thing. twisties is not such a big concern cuz we have more than enough up here . i actually cant wait to hit the straights on the 95.

well, at least you won't be disappointed with our riding down here then, plenty of straights. for better straights with less traffic than 95 (and less construction) try the Turnpike or take I75 to US27 and head north or south on 27 from there. not much better areas for a full-out run -- no intersections or onramps to watch.

Re: Fort Lauderdale area Role Call

I am from Miramar. Count me in for that Deals Gap trip.

Now that you have registered with streetknights.com check out their weekly ride. This Sunday we are going to Sebring to the .6

That is a small "track" .6 miles in length.

This group also plans several track day events, an Iron Butt ride for the end of the year and possible Deals Gap for early next year.

Yea! what he said, 95 only if your'e on a mission. To enjoy Florida, 27, 98, 441, 17, if your'e not in a rush. Route 1 is a magic coastal ride all the way down to Vero Beach.
