Me and a couple of friends are planning on going to the Ohio and Detroit shows, but I dont think that we will be able to make Atlanta, we would have to bring the bikes, and make a week out of it. Dont think that would go over too well. (with the girlfriends)

Almost forgot about that one. I was there 3 years ago and got a full Spyke 2 peice suit, Alpinestar gloves(the good ones) and sidi boots (vertabrae) for $1400, I could not turn it down. Plus I needed some new gear.

Trust me January ain't THAT warm here It might even <shudder> snow a day So are the Detroit and Ohio shows the same people? I am wondering since if it is just next years bikes I can pass. If there is new gear to see and good deals I might do the ride over (3-4hrs plus I hate going near Atlanta to many people)

The main show (manufactures) has now been changed to December as well as the venue. It's now held at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre in downtown TO. They still have the show in January at the International Centre in Mississauga but it's more of a Custom bike/Flea market type deal.

The International Cycle shows that are put on around the country all have the same major exhibitors (Honda, Yamaha, Harley, etc.), but the vendors who exhibit varies from city to city. I've been to shows in Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago. Chicago has the best show by far of the three, with Cleveland next. Detroit just started having the show here a couple of years ago and it definitely lacks for exhibitors. Just my

I think so, some guys at work were talking of going.
So how is it? Lots of vendors? Should I bring the Arai (I here they sometimes adjust them)

I'll be there 10:00 tomorrow morning with my brother, hope to see you there... a blue sheep ought to be fairly easy to spot. |

I will probably roll in a bit later. 3.5 there plus I lose an hour on the way over due to time zone.
EDIT: I will probably have a red Lynchburg Motorcycle rally shirt on (advertise for my brother )

Just bought my tickets online... The line to buy tickets was extremely long last year, it moved relatively quickly... But... extremely long.

Hey I just got to the ATL today. Me and my son may try to get there tomorrow. Maybe around noon. If anyone is going PM me and I will check it in the morning and give you a call. There wasn't a show in St. Louis last year so I might as well try to see it while I'm here.

Thanks for the offer but I will be headed out before it opens (about 7-8AM Atlanta time) worst case I drive over and waste a trip No big deal I enjoy the roam sometimes.

Just got back I give it a two hooves up, it would have gotten three but for the drive and to many people I talked to the Barber track guy and WERA folks at length. Got a sub to Cycle News, tried to get a Throttlemeister (did not have my model with them). Drooled on a Garmin Quest for a while. Sat on numerous bikes (Yamaha TT225 is kind of cool, Honda XR650L is to tall and heavy) And bought an RC51
EDIT And I did have my red shirt on

I'm sorry I missed you Sheep, everyone wearing a red t-shirt probably thought I was some type of stalker...
Bet I know which RC51 you brought home. |

Did you get one to?
I got there about 1:30 your time and did the lap. The WERA guy was an interesting source of information but obviously not a fan of Hondas I wish the Shoei area had been better, I might have come home with a helmet. The Arai's seemed to have better service but I already have my Arai.

No... No room in the stable for another bike .
You were probably coming in as we were getting ready to leave. We were there this AM just as the doors opened.
I enjoyed seeing Duhamel's FX bike and Rossi's M1 up close and personal. I spent a lot of time drooling over BMW's new K1200S . Plenty of other eye candy around as well .

Yeah... Those guys were quite annoying, they actually had two booths and harassed my brother (who wears glasses) while we walked by both of them. |
