anybody from orlando?
I was just wondering if anyone was from the orlando area. I have a friend down there who is looking to change jobs and she doesnt know the area very well. So I was wondering if any of you guys knew of some jobs related to film, tv or communications. She has a communications degree from uwf and a film degree from fullsail. I'd appreciate any help thx.

Tell her to try Universal Studios and Disney. Sounds stupid, but they employ much of the local entertainment industry.

universal and disney dont have the kind of job for her specialty, she worked for universal for awhile but the closest thing to film or tv had her taking pictures of people with dolphins all day which sounds like a cool job until she described one of her days. 8 hours wading in a pool that smells like dolphin crap and piss. lol. 5years of school and two degrees I think she had something else in mind while shes paying off 110grand student loan. is there any film or tv studios around there?

Not really. How about she apply for a local tv station? There are several located in Orlando. Is she a hottie? How about a newscaster? Just an idea....

definite hottie but not interested in newscasting. eventually wants to direct films. so more behind the scenes type stuff. I was wondering about more specific job openings. I'll see about a pic, cuz i know theres a few of you guys out there with a life outside of riding lol

That is what I was saying about Disney and Universal. Both are TV and movie studios. Disney's films a lot of their kids shows here and Nickelodeon studios is based out of Universal Orlando. They're not just theme parks.

thanx for the heads up cru. I'll tell her to look harder at the studios there. By the way I'm headed down there on my bike in a couple months to visit her. Where are the ride spots and hang outs?
