| Blizzard 05 started at 4PM yesterday afternoon these pics were at 9:15 this morning.
the first is the back window out of my room. below the window is a porch roof, the roof is about 1 foot below the right corner of the window. the other pic is the road in front of the house (I know its a crappy pic but I don't know how to or even if I can manually focus the digital camera). It's focused on the window screen but you really can't see all that much better anyway. The orange barrel is in the middle of the street on top of a sewer cap that the plows always hit because it sticks up a little. Blizzard warning till 6pm. And whats probably worse is Hoagie should have it a little worse, he's a little further south where everything is headed. And on top of that he's right on the water so he gets ocean affect snow. And then to really kick him while he's down the storm is looping back up from the cape swirling back towards him.

He knows how to use the controls btu not how to use the machine intelligently (because he's a stupid person in general). He was doing the driveway and had it aimed so it shot the stuff up as high as it could go into the air. And of course its windy as hell (as it has to be to be called a blizzard) so its just blowing right back in his face. And the morons across the street shovled their driveway onto the fire hydrant. And now I guess my mom said something to my brother because now he's out there with one of the neighbors shoveling it out.

I guess you lose about a third of your power but thats ok. Just get a diesel and then get one of those computer programmer things and you pretty much even out the loss.

Yep we got almost enough to cover the ground | I love how people go out and buy tons of food as if they have nothing in their house at all and will starve to death if they don't get food. And on top of the weather people were buying food because of the football game tonight.

The worst storm we've ever had here was something like 24 inches, and by the next day the roads are plowed. These people act like they're gonna be snowbound for a week. I always can get out the next day, if not later that day. Sheesh. |

Otherwise a bad storm is one day or less. Fun to watch the lemmings though

| Re: Blizzard 05 its so funny that they think they're going to starve to death in a day. for one it takes a lot more than 1 day to litteraly starve to death. these people must shop meal to meal, snack to snack. oh I'm hungry I have to go to the store to buy a granola bar. 2 hours later they have to go back to buy something for dinner.
well yes the weathermen were way off. its stopped snowing.

| Re: Blizzard 05 New pretty red toys rule!!! Boy, did this thing save me a ton of time and a backache. Driveway done in a little over an hour, and I waited until it stopped snowing today to even go out. Two people shovelling it would've taken well over 2 hours, and that would have included shovelling twice last night to keep up. The snow in the front of the house/driveway drifted to about 20". Overall, we got about 14". Worth every penny, found it on sale this fall.
