Re: Anyone from Louisiana!!!!

Not from there, but I did vacation in Baton Rouge and New Orleans in '97.

I was struck by:

1) how friendly the people were down there

2) the humidity!
3) the food!

Strange when I leave AL to a dry climate i suffer terrible. I need to generate humidity (shower steam, sink steam, etc) at least once a day preferrably twice.

Technically I'm from La, but since I'm North of I-10 I'm a "yankee," and up here in the NW corner we're considered Texas anyway. But I was born in Baton Rouge so that counts for something.

Back in the 80's I was working construction with some guys that came up from Houma. They went back after about six months... they couldn't handle living this far north, heck they would call us yankees.

Depends if the B.R. hospital where you were born is north or south of I-10. Gotta draw our Mason-Dixon line somewhere.

My hometown is 10 mins from Houma (where my wife is from). I had quite a few friends who had no aspirations of a college education that "moved north" because of the "construction boom." Not a one that I know lasted more than a year and they were back at home with a newfound hatred for the "north."

The wheel hubs don't fit any manner of Pacer, Pinto, or LTD, etc., so there was no need to remove them. Skirts prevent shelter for the dogs, so "no go" there as well.
