| Assistance with Tennessee move II Can anybody tell me if there is any catch to taking a non-Tennessee registered/titled vehicle and registering it there? For example in CA you cannot bring a vehicle that was purchased outside of CA into CA if it has less than 7,500 miles. The other catch for CA is there is a time period where if you just bought a new vehicle and registered/title outside of CA then register/title it in CA they can charge you sales tax even though you just paid sales tax in the previous state you lived and bought the vehicle. I want to say something like it’s within 90 days. I ask because I just bought a new 2005 F150 and didn’t think about it until now if I’ll have any issues going back to TN with it. |

| Re: Assistance with Tennessee move II That stuff only applies to CA. You're fine taking vehicles other places. |

| Re: Assistance with Tennessee move II I was hoping that was the case. I searched TN's website for vehicle rules. They didn't discuss anything of the sort. It seems to be pretty straight forward. I was just worried I wasn't looking in the right place.
I sold the 954 last night and the house goes on the market this Tuesday. So the pressure is growing, I need to find me a J O B !

| Re: Assistance with Tennessee move II think of everything that California does then flush it you are moving south Also NEVER say that they do it better in California as this will get you branded as a D_m Yankee.
A friend of mine tells folks that do that "Delta has flights out hourly"

| Re: Assistance with Tennessee move II Ahh so I take it you decided to make the move. Congrats. You'll like it here I think.
You should be fine with the vehicle move no additional sales tax. They'll just have to issue a new title to your bank since you are moving here.
Hope you get another bike soon after you get here cause you'll be dying to rides the roads.
Hope the move goes smooth. Drop me a line if you need any help once you get here.
my email is getsome122@chartertn.net

| Re: Assistance with Tennessee move II Yeah I'm committed. Our house sold in six hours. Our realtor told us we were asking a little more than comparable house in my area so it would take about a month to sell. Now my wife, kids and I are going to move into an apartment until the kids are out of school. Then we are heading to the Johnson City area! |

If it wasn't for one greedy ass lawyer who keeps suing the state over it then it would already be gone.
And there is no vehicle inspection in Tennessee. |
