| Need a little Charlotte info... Need a little information about working/living in the Charlotte area...
Is there any advantage to living in NC vs SC?
How many tracks are nearby?
Any other info appreciated as well....

| Re: Need a little Charlotte info... Been to Charlotte all but 2 times in my life time. Once for a soccer tournament when I was 12 years old and the other time a few months back to buy my Kawi Z1000 from Team Charlotte MotorSports. They have a lot of good cheap bikes in Charlotte. Other than that, the neighborhood the dealership was in was pretty ghetto. The city itself seemed like it was growing, a lot of road expansion/construction going on. Sorry, I really haven't given you any good useful information.
Oh, I'm considered a "colored person" in North Carolina (you can ask Conq about it)!!!! |

VIR would be 2-3 hours away from you I think.
You'd be real close to the NC mountains thought. |

| Re: Need a little Charlotte info... Oh, SC doesn't have yearly vehicle inspections. And they don't require registration/tags for trailers. (The trailer doesn't even have to have lights on it if you only use it during the day.) |

| Re: Need a little Charlotte info... No offense to those who have had good dealings with other dealers in Charlotte but ther ONLY honest dealer I have come across is Excel Motorsports in Concord. They are straight-forward on prices, no stupid fee's and bickering over price. They tell you OTD. Their service department is top-notch also.
As far as tracks, I have heard there is one in Mooresville but I don't know that for sure. I do know there is a company there that holds classes so obviously there is a track nearby.
In Charlotte your less then 1hr away from some fantastic mountain roads. In SC your surrounded by idiots not wearing helmets. |

| Re: Need a little Charlotte info... Good info there by Conq....Charlotte is NC largest city....the Panthers and the Bobcats are the pro sports teams there along with the Triple A Charlotte Knights(if you like baseball)....VIR would be 2-3 hours away and the new track that's being built in Salisbury(High Rock International I thinks it's called) will only be about 1-2 hours away.....Been to Charlotte several times...nice city, spread out very well....good schools, nice homes, etc....but it has it share of problems as well as all large cities do....do some more looking into it....I was born and raised in SC and if it were left up to me, I would not make the choice to go back there to live....it just seems as though that state is stuck in a time warp....hard to explain I know, but you have to live there to notice....Charlotte is really a banking/finance city....a lot of major financial institutions have headquarters there, so if you're in that industry, it would be a good move....check it out man...hope you like what you find.... |

Baketech, There's a track in Rockingham (real close to Charlotte) that you may be interested in.... |
