Man.... you had it tough last year. Hope it will not be that bad this year. July is pretty soon for hurricane isn't? Thought it was more in August and September?

Re: Here we go again.

Re: Here we go again.

4 named hurricanes in the month of June is the earliest ever on record. Better batten down the hatches...

Any member in the pan handle? I was planning on offering garage space but I think I will be banished during land fall to another state...

Re: Here we go again.

I just left Destin this morning (was there on Vacation) and it was heavy traffic getting out. Places were out of gas or charging 40 cents a gallon more for it and had people lined up for a mile to get it. Luckily we had gas and didnt need it until lower AL where it was 2.18/gal. We were parked on I65 between Montgomery and Birmingham for a couple of hours and never found any reason for it.

Best of luck for you guys and gals down there....

Re: Here we go again.

Based on last years experience, if you don't have a full tank and about 20 gallons in jugs when the storm hits, then you'll be stranded or waiting in very long lines when you need it, if the power comes on and they are getting deliveries. When we came back into Florida after Frances, there was no gas to be had from the state line down to Orlando. Not to mention if you actually had to drive all the way down towards West Palm, you'd be pretty screwed....
