I need to get a mount for my little GPS. And the disk with all the city maps on it.. BUt back to the subject at hand.

I was supposed to have worked on a specific project this past weekend at work but the assholes are limping this particular piece of machinery along until this weekend now(if it doesn't tear itself apart before then) and I now have to work this weekend as of now. No way to get out of it right now. I am hoping the damn thing breaks tonight or tomorrow so we can have it done before the weekend and then I could get the time off. So, as of right now I won't be available at all except Sunday and you'll be on your way home by then. Hell, I even got screwed and had to work today. Getting tired of 6 day work weeks but at least the paychecks have been nice.

Damn it. I am guessing he is already on the road, plans completely made and now I don't have to work tomorrow. Got a party to goto in the evening but no work. Too little to late... I hate it when my job ruins potentially great weekends riding with people. Hope the whole weekend goes well.

Hey, I'm supposed to meet up with him tomorrow to ride for a while before he starts heading back home. I haven't called him to get an update on his location yet, but I'll be doing that tonight.

How far are you from Tellico Plains, TN?

If he's in Robbinsville, NC as planned, we plan to ride across the Skyway to Tellico Plains, then see where to go after that...

I'm about 2 1/2- 3 hours away from Deals Gap which is where he probably is riding right now before staying at Robbinsville for the night. about the same distance from me to Tellico Plains as well.

Ok, I just got off the phone with him. He's in Robbinsville. The plan is to meet up tomorrow around 11-12, ride across the Skyway, grab something to eat at that little place as soon as you get into Tellico Plains (by the river), then head up, around, and back down through the dragon. He said he wanted to get on the road toward home by 4pm at the latest.

I'm heading to Charlotte tonight, then heading to Robbinsville in the morning.

From here to Charlotte is about 170 miles. Charlotte to Robbinsville is about 220 miles.

So, head on down. You can do it.

Hmm 2 1/2 hour boring highway trip to play in the twisties for 2-2 1/2 hours, and then turn around and do another 2 1/2 hours boring highway trip home. Damn it if I didn't have plans tomorrow night I would just go there and stay the night. I hate the highway part of getting to far away places. And I can't do a total backroad trip to the Gap cause it'll add an hour to the trip and leave no time to play.

Damn it I am still gonna have to pass. Too bad it isn't next weekend. I could take off on Friday and come home Sunday night and it wouldn't matter.
