| Postwhore advisory... Looks like I'll be heading southbound next week. Specifically Wed-Sun.
Looking to stay in the Lynchburg VA area Wed. nite, possibly to the Nashville area on Thurs. via the BRP and then from there I'd like to hit up the Dragon, Cherahola and any other suggested roads by the fellow locals on Friday and part of the day Saturday. I'd like to start heading back towards home base on Saturday so I won't have to make it home in one day on Sunday and be dead for work Monday.
Anybody interested in hooking up for some rides or dinner? What roads should I put on my agenda?
EDIT: Oh yeah...any good/cheap hotels that are bike friendly are a welcome recommendation too. I'm not making reservations, going mostly seat of the pants...where ever the road takes me type stuff. I have means to secure my bike, but it's only going to be as secure as the desire of the thief that wants it. |

| Re: Postwhore advisory... Thanks for the generous offer sheep. Not sure if I want to ride all the way down to 'bama.
Anywhere really, Osiris. I'm hoping some locals will point out some good riding. I may stop by the AAA office and see if they can help out at all. |

| Re: Postwhore advisory... Might be to long a route but when heading to Nashville take SR39 out of Tellico Plains (I have not been on it but pavement should be decent) to SR30 which runs west in TN. You can head north near Sparta (SR111) and this brings you onto I40 (of course there is a nice section just past 111 also ) Not sure on the road west of US27 but the rest is nice pavement and riding. There is a ferry on SR30 also that I am unsure the hours.
Let me know where you will be Saturday and maybe I can graze east

Sheep, I don't want to postpone it another week because of weather and because of my start time at the new place. Postpone Barber |

I will be available all day Saturday... I guess you'll already be out near the Dragon by then? |

I'd actually like to be done with the Dragon on Friday. From what I understand it's very busy on weekends...I'd like to avoid a possible squid-fest |

I could meet you out there somewhere Friday night, and ride the Skyway Saturday early or something. |
