200mph is as high as their meter goes, and it hit that several times. Mt. Washington's record is 231, so we could have hit that and wouldn't know it.

Too bad there's no weather station on top of Mt.Timpanogos or up at King's Peak. At 13,000+ ft. the wind get moving acoss the peaks pretty good sometimes.

I seem to recall that the instuments blew off the side of the Mt Washington observatory at 231 mph. It's quite possible that the wind speed attained was higher than that. Tha's what my t-shirt said anyway.
