trailers on Skyline Dr/BRP?

Does anyone know if trailers are not allowed on Skyline Dr and the Blue Ridge Parkway? We are heading to Deals Gap, then GA. We have a pickup and will be towing a dual axle 7x14 enclosed trailer. Any restrictions?
TIA

Get ahold of the D.O.T they will help you out and with the right info. Some might say it's ok some might say no. Just as easy to call them And ask

Seeing as they still let semi trailers through the Gap I think you would be fine going through there. I very strongly encourage you however, not to. You will have a tough time with it. Not sure of the BRP, but that's probaby ok too.

We're not taking the trailer thru the Gap. Just the BRP and Skyline drive to eventually get to Robbinsville, where we'll drop it at the motel. We'll be on Rt. 29, but not through the Tail of the Dragon portion with the trailer.

Re: trailers on Skyline Dr/BRP?

As far as I know the BRP restriction is against commercial vehicles only. I believe Skyline is the same but I have not been there is a long time.

Deal's is 129 and the section below Robbinsville is kind of twisty so be ready (but certainly not anti-trailer)
