| Central FL Anyone from the Orlando area...Sanford/Lake Mary. Gettin my bike next month, and wondering if there are any good roads to go out for a long ride...
Back in Tampa, we went to the north or south country roads & would ride for about 400miles on a sunday and tear some nice twisty roads up

I've met so many people when I lived in Tampa from that forum. And they have some awsome rides. North/South rides are the best. Some of the guys/girls know some good roads...I'm on there occasionally kickin the sh@t or lurkin since I don't live down there anymore...

Haven't heard of Ocala National Forest, will have to look into that...thanks.

| Re: Central FL I didn't have a bike back when I lived in O-town. But I think getting out of the city in one piece might qualify as a "good" ride. North to Ocala There are some decent back highways. I am not to familiar. If you head south down 27 eventually you will get to some good-ol middle of nowhere highways like 98 and 64. 98 is a dream. VERY tempting to break the speed laws. Sometimes the troopers are out and about, but the locals are almost nonexistant once you get outta polk county. Very interesting the kinds of people that live in those rural florida areas. |
