FLORIDA ROADS?

So i might possibly be moving to fort meyers are from pa and everyone keeps telling me i ll be bored out of my mind because the roads are so straight. Are the roads really this bad? AM i going to be riding straight for miles? there has to be some nice curvy roads right.

Re: FLORIDA ROADS?

Yes it is that bad. I am about 30 minutes north of fort myers. Long straight and flat is what we have. I often find myself getting on and off the interstate just for the on and off ramps. Down here is more about not letting the blue hairs run you over and interstate pounding. Sad but true.

Re: FLORIDA ROADS?

Right! But it's pretty damn cold right now.

Good thing about Florida weather, if it's too cold today, it will be almost 80 tomorrow guarenteed.....

Re: FLORIDA ROADS?

JenningsGP is about your only bet. Not sure about Moroso, otherwise, pack up and head to Alabama or Georgia.

Re: FLORIDA ROADS?

You can find some around, but they're not everywhere

There are some decent routes out to Alva & Labelle, Arcadia, and out to Lake O.

At least the roads are in pretty good shape, and we can ride most all year long

Re: FLORIDA ROADS?

Central Florida has a few ok places. most of the better areas seem to be on the west coast tampa lakeland areas. Keep your eyes peeled for undeveloped subdivisions.

Re: FLORIDA ROADS?

Yeah, what KSJNX said. I live in Lakeland and frequently ride half an hour to Bartow late at night to tear up the old phosphate mine roads.
