| Re: Valentine 1 radar detector I mounted my V1 directly to the windscreen by bolting the suction cup mount (removed the suction cups) to it. Works great for me...

| Re: Valentine 1 radar detector BTW, I received the V1 last Friday. It is the tits! Very well done . This thing gives sooo much more info than my old Solo 5. It has already saved me one potential ticket, although I was only going 8 mph over before the alert. Valentine (and other mfrs.) stress the importance of mounting high (but not too high) on the windshield or visor. I just can't stand having a friggin' cord hanging over the bottom 2/3 of the windshield and don't feel like routing a long cord, so I mounted it via velcro on the dash, like the old one. I have a Tacoma with a camper shell and it still picks up side and rear bogeys as well as when I had it mounted higher for one day |
