| Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera? Nope, but if it's anything like the similar X10 cams, then it sucks. Resolution is useless, and light sensitivity is low (need lots of light for it to work) in the X10s.
Interesting that they're using 1.2GHz. I thought that was blocked off for satellite commo |

If you want to play with it, its ok, but if you want it to see anything in less than full light and on any screen larger than 5.5' TFT, move on . . .
If its for work, dont do it. There are others you wont be cursing in 3 months as a waste of time. If its for your bike, dont bother. It wont show any video worth seeing starting before dusk.
If you just want to play with it for fun, GO FOR IT!

| Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera? More for playing on my bike. I can have my video camera in my trunk with the receiver and the pinhole camera anywhere on the bike. Also, with the 1000 feet range, I might be able to leave the reciever at the pits and the pinhole camera on my bike while I am at the track. I am not looking for super duper quality...just some fun. If you know of any other similar product that is small and comes with video/audio, please recommend. |

| Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera? the vid strength at 1000' will be very 'jumpy' for that Hz on a bike. I can post my setup if you like, but it will have to be when I get home. Im 450 miles away!
But I will be happy to make some suggestions of units I've personally used. |

I'm always imagining them falling into each other. This would eliminate a few stops en route... |

Basically I suggest one general system to all my buds if being 'covert' isnt an issue. A really nice REMOVEABLE TFT screen that gives great video for around $200 mounted on my bars and a really low lux IR weatherproof 'lipstick' camera in the rear that is permemnently mounted and partially hidden (so its not obvious to thieves.)
As far as remote and recording, if you want to record on your bike in the front, nothing beats a small camcorder tank mounted. Recording off the track is easier, go with a 2.3ghz good to 3000'.
Ill post links to products from one of my places (I get contractor prices, but this is the cheapest place for GOOD equiptment) so anyone can order anytime you like. But it will have to be after my bath!
PEEUU!

same one applies. if you are inventive, I suggest getting ONE satup and transport it from the trailer to the bike and back again.
dont waste money getting two! |

I don't want a screen, just a camera to record onto my digital camera. Must have color, sound and be wireless and work around the bike. Tell me more about this 3000 foot range thingy...Can you source out the products for me as a package that would work together? |

| Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera? This stuff looks VERY cool, but I am just trying to have some fun and not blow $500. I am not filming Biker Boys 2 here...just some fun runs...something to do after riding, while having a beer...watch a bit of the days riding...My budget is like $50, maybe $75 if I have to...??
Would that little crappy one on ebay work with a bike?? |

Now here is a short clip. *This was record from one of those small cameras, but not wireless, and then copied from my camera to the memory stick and then to my computer...so there is a bit of degredation. *Right click and save...this file is over 1.3 meg for all you slow connecters..beware... | Re: Wireless Pinhole Camera? that where a tank mount USED camcorder from ebay or best buy, Circuit City, etc. on sale for $299 is best! if you record dirrectly to your source, that is much better, only issue is the size and price of the 'source.'
you can find a great deal on ebay if you look hard enough, but dont let someone tell you they did a minicam aetup for under $350 inboard the bike. Not and do a good job. |

anythign under 320 you risk being 'grainy' on a regular TV. |
