| Re: How to keep headphones in after helmet on? Skull candy are the way to go. I've had multiple other brands of ear buds and skull candy buds are relatively cheap, have many different styles (I have a pair for general use and a pair for working out/riding that are different styles) and they put out amazing sound and can handle quite a bit of bass if you want them to |

I'm using a pair of pioneers right now I got from walmart. Over the ear style, but they still like to work their way out after a few miles. Was thinking of switching to the skull candy. Think i'll try those out.

I have those same ones and they do work great. I gotta shove em in there, but after that, no problems, good bass too.
I tried those helmet type headphones, but with an ipod, they dont get loud enough. Also with my Shoei helmet, my left ear kept getting caught on the left headphone no matter what i did |

Agree whole-heartedly. I am an audiophile, but I'm in the military now and can't drop 200+ on a set of headphones for the bike/gym. Bought the skullcandy's after a recommendation. Amazing comfort and sound quality for 30 dollars. Only complaint, volume control is very low on the cord. |

| Re: How to keep headphones in after helmet on? go to wal-mart and get a skull cap better know as wave cap not the string tie kind but the pull over kind. Once you insert your plugs of any kind pull this cap down over your ears and you will have no problem |

I use a neck tube pulled up over my ears to stop the helmet pulling out my ear plugs. |

| Re: How to keep headphones in after helmet on? i just got the element oneal helmet with the blinc bluetooth that connects directly to my blackberry or u can sync it to your ipod. speakers are integrated into the helmet and actually very comfortable. i love the helmet can cruise listening to my tunes without worring bout the earphone falling out also u can use it as a walkie talkie between two bike or two helmets along with having the capablity to make phone calls while on your bike idk how safe you think that is so i dont answer the phone calls just use the helmet for cruising with some tunes and not having to worry bout those dam headphones falling out heres a link to the site for more info on the helmets. O'Neal i love mine got one for me and my girlie for we can talk to eachother while rolling down the freeway and my other friends that have this helmet
check it out its worth it for sure!

| Re: How to keep headphones in after helmet on? Skullcandys rock...best choice/value.
But as with any "in ear" the more you pulle em out by the cords, the quicker they are gonna take a **** on you.
Ive gone through 3 or 4 sets this past year, but at only 20 bucks a pop, I could care less.
I'd rather risk throwin 20 bines away than 40, 60 ,80 or more for buds that (in my opinion) don't sound any better.
Now, if I could find a way to put my Dr Dre Beats on under my lid, I'd be in business.
My two cents,
Ivan |

| Re: How to keep headphones in after helmet on? I recently bought a set of Sony headphones - MDR-EX33LP (MDREX33LP) : Accessories and headphones : Sony...
They fit snugly in my ear (enough so that you could so sleep with them in and forget you have them in) and the sound quality is second to none (esp what you pay for them).
I haven't tried them on with my helmet, but with a balaclava mask on and then you helmet I doubt they would come out.

| Re: How to keep headphones in after helmet on? Simplest solution I've found... with any kind of earbud or over ear headphone... I wear a bandana under my helmet. Keeps them in when you put the helmet on, and helps keep your helmet from ripping them out of your ears and ripping your ears off when you take your helmet off.
And as an added bonus, you don't get the ever so attractive reverse mohawk hair style that you get when you wear your helmet for an extended perioud of time lol |
